It is an elegant place with traditional charcoal - cooked meat. The smoke flavor was too strong in our ribeye but not bad at all.
Our food was exceptional & our server was extremely attentive. We literally never needed to ask for anything. We will definitely be back.

I had an amazing experience at J. Alexander's! The food, service, and overall atmosphere were fantastic. It’s clear that customer satisfaction is their top priority. They offer daily specials (I had the fish and chips for lunch) alongside some classic menu item. I always recommend this spot to my friends and family. During our visit, the GM (Ryan) took the time to step away from the line and personally greet us, which really added a nice touch to the experience. Highly recommend!
One of my favorite restaurants. I tried many things on their menu and never got disappointed. Inside is classy with low light and I just love it. Caesar salad, calamari and prime rib sandwich are a must. We’ve been there for Mother’s Day ( dinner time) and my my mom really enjoyed it.
Wow!! I can say with certainty if you have Mandy as your server you will have the best service of your life! When I say, I had the best service of my life, I really mean it. I was so blown away that I had to ask my man to go back in and get her name so I could write this review. I truly caring server. She was very attentive, and our food was absolutely delicious. No notes! She was on top of everything making sure we got each item on time and that we were pleased with it. Definitely ask for Mandy, oh, and order the deviled eggs- you cannot lose!! I had an impromptu visit to J. Alexander's today. It was a wonderful experience. It happened to be Father's Day even though I'm not a father. Im we had the shrimp appetizer, which was absolutely delicious. I especially enjoyed the orange sauce whatever it was. For dinner, I had the halibut special with couscous and a side salad it was absolutely delicious. So much so I wish they had it on there. Normal menu. My date had the prime rib, mashed potatoes, and a side salad. Hers was phenomenal as well. Jeff was our server and he was fantastic. During our dinner, he and other servers stopped by to check on us. Thank you for a great experience.
This place is one of my new favorites! The grilled pork tenderloin is outstanding, and don't even get me started on the carrot cake. The service is always wonderful and I love the dim lighting. I will definitely be a regular moving forward.
